What is Otoplasty?
The standard otoplasty ear surgery procedure reshapes part of the cartilage in the ears, allowing them to lie closer to the side of the head.
Incisions are made behind the ear to avoid visible scars after the operation.
The ear surgery is performed under general anaesthetic for children and can be done under twilight anaesthesia or local anaesthetic for adults.
